A lucky Mississippi resident will be able to hunt and fish free for the rest of life by winning a drawing for a free Lifetime Sportsman License.
A lucky Mississippi resident will be able to hunt and fish free for the rest of life by winning a drawing for a free Lifetime Sportsman License.
Mississippi outdoorsman can enter a drawing beginning Friday (Aug. 5) to win a Lifetime Sportsman License for only $5, the Mississippi Department Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced.

Proceeds from the giveaway will to toward funding MDWFP conservation efforts.

Lifetime Sportsman Licenses are worth up to $1,000, and include Sportsman, WMA User Permit, and saltwater fishing privileges. The winner will not be exempt from the state waterfowl stamp, however.

The drawing is sponsored by the Foundation for Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. Entries, and tickets may be purchased anywhere hunting and fishing licenses are sold, online at mdwfp.com, or by calling 800.5GO.HUNT.

The drawing for the free license will be held on Dec.15, 2012. Entries must be purchased by Dec. 14, 2012.

Participants may purchase an unlimited number of entries, and the winner will be notified via email.
