Three state saltwater fish records were certified by the Commission on Marine Resources during it's meeting last week, the agency reported.

The records include conventional-fishing listings for red grouper and lemon shark, along with a fly-fishing record for Gulf kingfish, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources said.

Ronnie McMillan of Lucedale broke the state conventional red grouper record  with a 20-pound, 1.28-ounce fish caught on July 7, the MDMR reported.

Pass Christian's John Mayne Jr. set the state conventional record for lemon shark when he landed an 83-pound, 2-ounce specimen June 30.

Don Abrams of Ocean Springs set the state fly-fishing record for Gulf kingfish with a 1-pound, 4.7-ounce fish landed July 25.
