An accused burlar in Kelso, Wash., was later arrested at a local hospital where he showed up with an arrow sticking out of his butt, The Longview Daily News reported.

Officers responding to a Kelso, Wash., home at 11:45 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 13) reported that 32-year-old Scott Allen Schwingdorf apparently interrupted a possible burglary in progress to a nearby vacant residence and shot the suspected burglar with his bow as the accused crook ran away, the news agency reporte.

Charges against both men are possible, and the case will be reviewed by the Cowlitz Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Kelso Police Capt. Vern Thompson was quoted as saying.

According to police, Schwingdorf armed himself with his hunting bow and a broadhead arrow, chased the man to about 3 1/2 blocks and shot him after he refused to stop.

Police said Galen Louis Crayne, 32, later sought medical attention at St. John Medical Center for an arrow wound to his left buttock. Crayne underwent surgery at the hospital Monday morning to remove the broadhead, and his injuries were not life-threatening, Thompson said. The hospital listed him in satisfactory condition Monday afternoon.

No one had been arrested in the case and there was no hold on Crayne Monday morning, Thompson said, but the investigation is continuing.

I am no judge but if the so called burglar was in the process of a burglary , then he got what he deserved ........ The young man that shot the arrow should be praised , and a thank you for not being scared to step up to the plate like most people are these days....
