Saltwater fishing records for bigeye tuna and creolefish were certified Tuesday (June 21) as state records by the Commisssion on Marine Resources. Both record-breaking catches were made last month.

The bigeye tuna record was set by D'Iberville's Stacy Combs with a 92-pound, 2.88-ounce fish Combs landed on May 11.

Cecily O'Brien of Pascagoula set the record with a 1-pound, 8.69-ounce Creolefish on May 8, 2011.

These records will be added to the Mississippi Official Saltwater Conventional Tackle Records.
