Mounting a scope is a necessary step toward the accuracy needed from a .22 to squirrel hunt or shoot targets. The sighting-in process has traditionally been time consuming. But Hawke Sport Optics has changed the game with the introduction of their Sport HD IR family of scopes, which are designed to increase accuracy of rimfires.
The scopes deliver out-of-the-box 200-yard accuracy, and includes an innovative and simple reticle design. When sighted in at 50 yards, the Sport HD IR Rimfire provides 25-yard aim points from 50 to 200 yards. And forget memorizing aim points: Yardages are etched directly onto the glass of the reticle.
Hawke has designed the scopes to be accurate at 9X magnification with ammunition shooting at or near 1,300 fps. The 3-9x40 chassis is easy to use and reliable, and by decreasing magnification, the scope can also be calibrated to subsonic ammunition.
The reticle is illuminated with five levels of red and green to match ambient light conditions, increasing the ease of use.
As with all Hawke scopes, the lenses are fully multi-coated for the best possible light transmission and management. Each scope also is waterproof, shockproof, nitrogen purged to be fog proof and is covered by the transferable Hawke Worldwide Warranty.
Additionally, the Rimfire SR reticle is supported by the free Hawke BRC program that allows you to blueprint your projectile to any Hawke multiple-aim-point reticle. Download the BRC at www.hawkeoptics.com.
The Sport HD IR Rimfire SR scope, which will be available early 2014, will retail for $139.99.
