BlackJack 256

The BlackJack 256 is a good-looking bay boat that can fish like a jumbo-sized flats boat.

The BlackJack 256 is the flagship of the BlackJack line of high-performance bay boats. Constructed by skilled craftsmen in Knoxville, Ark., the 256 is the largest of the BlackJack models and is made for the fisherman who wants to push the boundaries of the bay boat and explore bigger waters.

Those bigger waters sometimes get rougher, but that isn’t a problem, as the 256 can handle any fishing conditions fishermen can handle. When it’s time to head home, the 256 calms rougher waters with the exceptionally smooth and dry ride the BlackJack brand is known for.

While the BlackJack 256 is a pretty boat with its Carolina flare and rolled tumblehome, it’s more than just another pretty face. Sure, the Blackjack hull has a unique look, but it’s aggressive in just the right way to perform as good as it looks — and the 256 looks good. Blackjack 256 owners should expect stares from people they pass on the water and to be stopped for questions any time they stop to refuel.

Fishermen had a lot of input on the 256, and it comes loaded with the right standard features. Gas shocks on the hatch lids prevent them from slamming and spooking fish. There are dual livewells to keep bait and fish healthy and kicking, plus lots of storage, including locking storage for 14 rods with holders for another dozen under the gunwales.

For convenience, the console has a large door in the front, which means reaching batteries is easy, and there is still room for a porta-potty. The dash is large and has plenty of space to mount the latest electronics with the largest screen for easy viewing whether fishing or running. Even the lights are LED for years of trouble-free service and minimal drawn on the batteries.

The Blackjack 256 is a jumbo-size flats boat that has all the right equipment and the perfect layout to do skinny water and big water as good as it looks — and it looks real good.
