Boat ramp at Calling Panther Lake has reopened

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) Fisheries Bureau announced today that the Calling Panther Lake boat ramp has reopened. The lake level was lowered in August to allow staff to cut boat lanes, deepen shoreline areas and make repairs to the courtesy pier.

“We’ve received a lot of rain over the last few weeks that brought lake levels up enough to allow anglers to safely launch a boat,” said MDWFP Fisheries Biologist Jerry Brown. “The boat lanes will help anglers navigate to different areas of the lake, but idle speed is still required.”
