BFL sets 2015 Mississippi schedule

Super Tournament to end season in September at Pickwick

The FLW announced its 2015 schedule for the Mississippi Division of the Walmart Bass Fishing League (BFL).

There are four one-day BFL events leading to the season-ending two-day Super Tournament in September. The one-day events could pay as much as $8,000 to the winner in the boater division and $3,000 to the winning co-angler, depending on number of entries.

Through those events, anglers earn points toward the angler of the year standings. Top boater in points at the end of the year earns a $1,000 bonus ($500 to top co-angler).

The Super Tournament, which will be held Sept. 19-20 on Pickwick Lake at J.P. Coleman State Park near Iuka, offers top prizes of $11,000 to the winning boater and $4,500 to the top con-angler. The winner also gets a berth in the BFL All-American, where the winner automatically qualifies for the lucrative FLW circuit.

The 2015 schedule:

March 14: Barnett Reservoir, Brandon, Goshen Springs Ramp.

April 25: Pickwick Lake, Iuka, J.P. Coleman State Park.

May 30: Barnett Reservoir, Brandon, Goshen Springs Ramp.

June 27: Lake Ferguson, Greenville, Waterfront Park.

Sept. 19-20, Super Tournament: Pickwick Lake, Iuka, J.P. Coleman State Park.
