Elvis Presley Lake reopens May 22

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) has announced the reopening of Elvis Presley Lake in Tupelo. A youth fishing day will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fishing will be open to youth 15 years and under. All youth must be accompanied by an adult who is at least 21 years old and has a valid Mississippi fishing license.

Elvis Presley Lake will open to the general public on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 6 a.m. A state lake permit and a valid Mississippi fishing license will be required unless exempt under state law.

Elvis Presley Lake is a recently renovated 322-acre state fishing lake. The lake has been stocked with largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish, catfish, and shad.

The facility will be open to fishing and boating only. The campground will remain closed until renovations are completed. If you are looking for accommodations around the Tupelo area, alternative nearby locations include Trace State Park and Tombigbee State Park.
