MDWFP adds Conservation Educator

The MDWFP has named Sylvia Robinson as Wildlife Conservation Educator at its Museum of Natural Science in Jackson.

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks continued rebuilding its staff with the June hiring of Sylvia Robinson as a conservation resources biologist who will serve as Conservation Educator at the agency’s Museum of Natural Science.

A native of Mississippi, Robinson has a bachelor of science degree in biology from Tougaloo College and a master of science in biological sciences from Mississippi College.

“I am thrilled to be in this position,” Robinson said. “I am passionate about biology and wildlife conservation and enjoy sharing my knowledge with families and children at the Museum.

“The museum has a long history of providing high-quality educational programming about Mississippi’s natural resources and I look forward to continuing and enhancing this tradition.”
