300-pound mako jumps into boat

New Jersey fishermen watch as huge shark causes damage

A 300-pound mako shark gave a pair of New Jersey anglers quite a scare when it leaped into their boat and started thrashing around.

“We look up and the balloon is coming at us, like a scene out of ‘Jaws,'” Capt. Tom Rostron Jr. said. “I look up and the thing does a 15-foot somersault.

“It just went crazy. He flipped in and just started wrecking everything.”

The boat, named the “TNT,” sustained an estimated $5,000 in damage.
