Amberjack season closes June 1

AJ fishing ends in state and federal waters.

Recreational fishing for greater amberjack closes in state waters at midnight on June 1, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced today (May 24).The season closure coincides with the closing of the recreational greater AJ season in federal waters, the DMR said.

The season will remain closed through Aug. 1.
