Officials with the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced that the recreational fishing season for Gag (Mycteroperca microlepsis) will open in Mississippi territorial waters at 12:01 a.m. local time on June 1, 2022. Recreational harvest for Greater Amberjack (Seriola dumerili) and Gray Triggerfish (Balistes capriscus) will close in Mississippi territorial waters on June 1, 2022, at 12:01 a.m.
