The Boat Show in New Orleans offers one-stop shopping

The Boat Show in New Orleans provides one-stop shopping for anyone looking to buy a new boat or accessories. And stars from "The Swamp People" and "Ragin' Cajuns" will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos.

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome floor will be covered with boats of all kinds Feb. 2-4 during The Boat Show, which offers those looking for great deals one-stop shopping in a family friendly atmosphere.

The show, presented by Mercury Marine, will include most of the boat dealers from Southeast Louisiana – but that’s not all! Also represented at the show will be companies offering boat insurance, electronics, sunglasses, boat lifts and many other accessories.

Shop many dealers under one roof during the New Orleans Boat Show – and weather isn’t a concern because there is convenient covered parking adjacent to the Superdome!

“We’re looking forward to bringing the public the best boat show ever held in New Orleans,” the show’s organizer Lionel Dowling said.

There will be plenty for the family, too!

A featured attraction during the show, also brought to you by Southbay Pontoons, will be the Feb. 3-4 appearance of Elizabeth Choate of “Swamp People.” Choate also will be signing autographs, taking photos and visiting with her many fans.

The cast of Discovery Channel’s Ragin’ Cajuns also will be a the show Thursday evening through Saturday.

The entire perimeter of the Superdome will be set up with booths designed to create a carnival-type atmosphere with many attractions for all ages.

Admission is just $8, with children younger than 12 admitted for free.

“We want the family to come out and have a good time,” Dowling said. “That’s why we don’t charge an entrance fee to kids under 12 years of age.

“We want people to come out and have a good time.”

Show hours are:

• Thursday, Feb. 2 – 3-9 p.m.
• Friday, Feb. 3 – 2-10 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 4 – 10 a.m.-10 p.m.
