‘Wolves’ not a big deal

Bot fly infestations can occur in squirrels all across Mississippi.

The larvae — or wolves, as they are sometimes called — are found just beneath the skin and typically leave the host around the time of the first frost

Godwin said that, while the larvae are not pleasant to look at, they in no way harm the meat of the squirrel.
