Using braided lines and fluorocarbon or monofilament leaders is standard among many light-tackle anglers. The knots connecting these two lines are imperative to fishing success. Here's angling authority Bob McNally's lastest tweak on using a Double Uni-Knot and prevent fouling of the knot in rod guides during casting.

Interesting. More trouble than I am going to go through but still that is a cool tip. I hate braid anyway, so it doesn't affect me to start with luckily.
