On Christmas morning at 9:00 this beautiful 18 point non-typical that we've never seen before followed a running doe to the edge of my food plot. Knowing how fast they can disappear I immediately put the crosshairs on his shoulders an squeezed the trigger on my Tikka .308. He did not go down but I knew he was mortally wounded, and I was in too much shock (from all the antler points) to get off a second shot before he ran into the woods. I called Dwight (my husband) on the walkie talkie and told him I had just shot a good buck with points going in every direction. We waited about an hour and recovered him about 50 yds. from where I shot him. We were in awe that such a beautiful non-typical could be killed in south Ms. We had him scored by an official B&C scorer and his green score was 162 3/8. The most amazing thing about this buck was his age. This buck was only 3 1/2 years old!!!
