Dalton Hawes has braggin rights. He has got his dad beat. Dalton landed this 90 pounder first week in October. He did let dad pick it up for the pick. Sorry bout the quality somebody forgot both of the good cameras.
Still catching big ms river cats. I used to be a bass fisherman but the lure of monster cats in the big Muddy is what gets the juices flowing now. Been chasin em now for about seven years but 2012 will go down in the books as the best so far. We have boated two over ninety two over seventy a couple of sixties and my number one fishin partner bagged a fifty all by himself.
How about a catfish contest.
Caught and released Aug 11, 2012 after 20 minute battle. Can't wait to get back out this weekend and see if we can find his grand paw.
WOW! 300 pics of a leaf blowing in the wind, 301 two does, 302 WOW!!!. You gotta be kiddin me. We believe we have two pics of this buck last year as a 3yr old 140ish tall narrow 10. He seems to pose like he knows he's pretty, hence the nickname 'Handsome'. On November 17th 2011 my some invited Handsome to become a permanent residence in our home. He is 14 and a half inches wide and gross scores 163 B&C.
Wow! 302 trailcam pics. 300 pics of a leaf blowing in the wind, 301 two does, 302 Wow! Are you kidding me. We believe this buck to have been a 140ish 3 yr old last year that we only had two pics of. His rack was tall and narrow and he seemed to pose like he new he was beautiful. We nicknamed him 'Handsome'. My son invited him to move in Nov 17, 2011. Great thanks to Ken and Jimmy for our 'Handsome' new house guest.
We had gotten a couple of pics of this deer in 2010 but never got to see him. We guessed he was a 140 inch three year old. Late summer after several attempts and several thousand pictures he offered us a beautiful pose for the trail cam. We hunted him a couple of times with a bow choosing only perfect conditions to try to get close to him to no avail. Mason decided to beak out his 243 on Nov 17, 2012. With weather conditions perfect we ran from the school house as fast as we could got set up and he walked into a food plot at 5:00 p.m.. Mason made a spot on 80 yd one shot kill before the buck fever set in. This is the biggest deer taken by either one of us with a rifle. Mason also took a fine 8 point last year with bow and arrow which again is the biggest buck taken with bow in our household. Official B&C gross score 162.25.
Mason's next personal goal is to take a turkey with a bow. I am not counting him out.
Ten year old Mason Murphey took this 163 inch whitetail on Nov 17, 2011 with his .243. After losing a smaller 10 point with his bow, this was just what the Dr. ordered to lift his spirits.
