Wolf Lake in Yazoo County reopened to boating

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) announced that Wolf Lake located in Yazoo and Humphreys Counties reopened for fishing and boating on Tuesday, June 3, at 6:00 a.m.

Wolf Lake, a 1,000-acre oxbow of the Yazoo River popular for crappie and catfish anglers, was closed in April 2025 due to flooding and high water — this order was pursuant to the authority of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, as authorized by the Commission.
