Aquatic Conservation Lecture at MDWFP’s Museum of Natural Science

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks Mississippi Museum of Natural Science invites visitors to dive behind-the-scenes of the Museum’s aquatic conservation efforts during the next First Tuesday Noon Lecture, “What We Do in the Shallows” on December 3, 2024, from Noon – 1 p.m. The lecture, which will be held in the museum’s theater, is included with Museum admission or Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation Membership.

Robbie Ellwanger, Museum Ichthyologist and Curator of Fishes and Mussels, will share the history of the collections and give an overview of Mississippi’s aquatic diversity, recent and current projects, and future endeavors. Visitors may also explore the museum’s aquariums and exhibits before and after the lecture.
