A winter drawdown will be conducted on Spring Lake at Wall Doxey State Park in Holly Springs. The lake level will be lowered about three feet from December 2020 through February 2021. The boat ramp will not be accessible during this time.
The winter drawdown is needed to control aquatic vegetation and to allow Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks staff to make facility improvements, including repairing piers and extending the boat ramp
Bank fishing will remain open during the drawdown and water levels should return to normal by spring.
