The entire hunt during which Giles Island Hunting Club’s Jimmy Riley arrowed a 180-inch buck on Oct. 1 was filmed for inclusion in a national cable show, but that video won’t be available for months.
So MS-Sportsman.com sat down with Riley and asked him to talk about the hunt – while showing off the rack that green scored 180 6/8 inches Pope & Young.
The attached vid also includes some footage from last January, when the buck was seen during another bow hunt.
Riley also shared his thoughts on the impacts of the historic Mississippi River flooding on Delta deer herds, and even provided an important tip about how a bow hunter can be sure he’s ready to make that trophy shot.
