Lake Washington yo-yo fishing regulations

Drane carries his yo-yos, 25 to the box, in an old Styrofoam ice chest. Mississippi laws limit each fisherman to 25 yo-yo devices, and on Lake Washington, anglers must remain within sight of the devices during daylight hours.

* No more than 25 yo-yos may be fished by an individual.

* No more than two single hooks may be attached to a yo-yo.

* When fished on a line, yo-yos must be attached at least two feet apart and fixed so that they cannot slip together.

* On Lake Washington, limb lines and set hooks may not be fished or set; however, sport fishing trotlines, free-floating fishing devices (jugs), and yo-yos may be used.

* On Lake Washington, all yo-yos must be legibly marked with either waterproof ink, stamped, or tagged to show the angler’s full name and residence address with zip code. Yo-Yo tags shall be attached above water line and furnished by the angler.

* Yo-yos must be attended during daylight hours on Lake Washington. Attended means devices must remain in sight of the angler during daylight hours. These devices may be fished at night without attendance.
