Fishing for greater AJs, triggerfish ends June 1

Recreational fishing for greater amberjack officially ends at 12:01 a.m. June 1 in state waters, the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources announced. Triggerfish season also ends.

The recreational fishing seasons for greater amberjack and triggerfish close Saturday (June 1) in Mississippi waters, the state Department of Marine Resources announced.

The seasons officially closes at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, the MDMR said.

The closing of these seasons is issued under the authority of Section 49-15-15 (1) (a) (2009), of the Mississippi Code.
