Florida strain largemouth bass have shown more propensities to damage due to handling. Everyone wants to admire a trophy fish and pose for a few pictures. But, if you intend to release the fish, do so as soon as possible after bringing it to the boat. Davis Lake has a slot limit, meaning all bass measuring between 18 and 22 inches in length show be released immediately. The creel limit is 10 fish per day, per angler with only one allowed in excess of 22 inches.
