Post spawn tactics:

Giles makes multiple fan casts to a potential bass hotspot before he rules out the area.

1. Locate points adjacent to spawning coves and work them out towards deeper water.

2. Fish the first ledge or drop near the spawning coves.

3. Locate stumps or logs along the outer edges of the spawning coves or flats.

4. Fish larger bodied shallow running crankbaits in the 4 to 6 foot range along points, flats and the first drop offs.

5. Make multiple fan casts to a potential bass lair until you find them and make them bite or rule out the area.

6. Once you catch a bass, work the area thoroughly because there may be a school of fish with that one. Don’t fish right past a potential honey hole.
