Mississippi Deer Hunting Seasons

Deer Management Zone 1
Zone 1 includes private and open public lands east of Interstate 55 and north of Interstate 20, and lands south of I -20 and east of U.S. Highway 61. Excludes areas south of U.S. Highway 84 and east of state Highway 35.

A legal buck must have either a minimum 10-inch inside spread or one main beam measures at least 13 inches long.

The zone is defined as private and open public land south of U.S. Highway 84 and east of state Highway 35.

A legal buck is defined as having either a minimum 10-inch inside spread or at leastone main beam at least 13 inches long.

Deer M anagement Zone 3
This management zone includes all private and open public lands west of Interstate 55 and north of Interstate 20, along with areas south of Interstate 20 and west of U.S. Highway 61.

A legal buck within these boundaries must have at least a 12-inch inside spread or one at least one main beam stretching at least 15 inches long.
