The first rifle in the ground-breaking series of varmint and predator bolt-action rifles from Mossberg & Sons, Inc. is the MVP Series Varmint chambered in .5.56mm NATO (.223 Rem).
It has a 1:9 twist rate to optimize bullet performance and accuracy from the 24-inch button-rifled, medium bull barrel, which also features a varmint-style crown to protect the muzzle. Notably-setting this series apart from the competition is its unique, patent-pending bolt design which allows MVP Series rifles to accept and reliably feed from AR-15 style magazines.
