Lake Okhissa bass-fishing favorites

Suggs displays a hard-earned Okhissa lunker that he fought and subdued.

Shad-colored Gunfish for schooling bass, and topwater bass early and late are Michael Suggs’ go-to choices.

A Rage frog fished on a jighead over submerged grass is another great lure, he said.

And Flukes rigged Texas style with a weighted hook over suspended fish in 40 to 60 feet of water will get the deep bites, he said.

A Lake Fork Flutter Spoon will turn the heads of suspended bass 20 to 30 feet deep in 60 to 70 feet of water.

Finally, Carolina-rigged magnum worms fished on humps, points and roadbeds can result in big bites.
