Voting began this morning in the September edition of the Trail Cam Contest, with user determining who walks away with the monthly Sportsman Gear prize package.
“We had some great trail-cam photos submitted in September, and the decision of which four to place in the monthly voting session was difficult,” MississippiSportsman.com’s Andy Crawford said. “But there are some really neat shots for our users to choose from in deciding the winner.”
The Trail Cam Contest, which continues through Dec. 31, allows registered users of MississippiSportsman.com to show deer on their property while competing for monthly prizes.
Monthly winners receive a free one-year subscription to Mississippi Sportsman magazine and a $25 gift coupon to the online Sportsman Store.

This month’s finalists include four images of great bucks.
User “paul allred” submitted a photo titled “more island bucks” showing a big 8-point strutting past the camera.
The entry by “madison-slayer” shows a massive buck standing next to a feeder.
“What do y’all think he scores?” the user wrote about the buck sporting at least 12 points.
User “rjdufrene” posted a photo of a wide Delta buck staring straight into the camera.
“Go this buck back in July … on a new lease in the Delta region,” rjdufrene wrote of the massive buck.
Rounding out the contest is a photo submitted by “benmike60” showing a great 8-point standing broadside.
“Picture perfect,” he wrote.
