What better way to celebrate the start of summer than with some free fun? Make plans to attend Katfishin’ Kids this Saturday, June 2, from 7 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Turcotte Lab off Highway 43 at the Ross Barnett Reservoir.
This event is free to all and no equipment is needed. Bring the kids, 15 and under, for a fun-filled day where they can learn the basics of fishing. They’ll be taught how to tie a knot, select the correct lure, bait hooks and cast. In addition, the pond will be stocked with catfish for them to try their hand at catching some fish. […]
